ENSURING COMPETENT ORTHOPEDIC TRAINING

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Philippine Board of Orthopaedics, Inc.,
welcome to our website.

Home On The Web

Welcome to the Philippine Board of Orthopedics, Inc. website!

The Philippine Board of Orthopedics (PBO) is mandated to be the accrediting and examining arm of the Philippine Orthopaedic Association (POA). As such, it is the duty of the PBO to ensure that all orthopedic training programs in the country adhere to the same standards set forth by the PBO. Its other duty is to certify graduates of these accredited training institutions to establish that they are competent in the practice of the profession.

The PBO is a very dynamic organization. It constantly updates its curriculum, program accreditation and examination process to make certain that it keeps up with the rapidly evolving knowledge and technology in orthopedics. More importantly, the PBO strives to be fair, consistent and relevant in its accreditation and examination methods. This is why the Board conducts regular workshops in education, test construction, program evaluation and curriculum planning for the trainors.

All these activities are intended to achieve excellence in orthopedic education and produce a graduate competent in the art and science of orthopedics. Mabuhay ang PBO!
